Now that the plane ticket has been purchased… I’d like to make an announcement!

I will be thru-hiking the Florida Trail NOBO this January. The trail is approximately 1,300-miles long and is far from complete. It will take about 3 months for me to walk from one end to the other. There will be plenty of some road walking, some swamp walking and most importantly: walking in the sunshine state in the middle of winter.

Florida is home to many alligators and several venomous snakes. There will be plenty of bugs, black bears, panthers, cows and the worst of them all: raccoons. I’m excited about all of this new flora and fauna that Florida has to offer.
